Hungry for Blue Apples? Develop a Comprehensive Health Education Program! |
This session will share the perspectives of a health teacher, high school principal, and health education county supervisor in the development of a Blue Apple award winning school health program. Participants will hear effective strategies to align local curriculum with state and national standards, ensure adequate professional development, embrace administrative support, schedule health education electives, teach skill-based and student-centered health lessons, and to coordinate health education through school improvement teams and a wellness program. |
