Successful Urban Teaching - Tapping into Talents |
This session addresses the needs of secondary teachers in urban environments struggling to meet the needs of their students. Teachers will walk away with an understanding of what urban education means in terms of cultural diversity, socio-economic status and the impact of state and federal funding. Discussion will center on resources, strategies, and what best practices in curriculum and instruction look like in the urban environment. “Application conversations” and interview video clips will be used. |
