| Readers’ Theatre: A Teaching Strategy for Discussion and Critical Thinking |
| Readers’ theatre is an innovative teaching strategy using a script and involving oral presentation of text by two or more readers. It provides the opportunity to examine and thoughtfully contemplate a story as viewers from the outside. The goal is to stimulate critical thinking about the topic (Savitt, 2002). This presentation will demonstrate the use of readers’ theatre for teaching health education/promotion topics. A script will be performed for the audience followed by group discussion. |
