The Most Influential Fictional Characters in Health and Medicine |
The purpose of this session is to identify important fictional characters in terms of their influence on health and medicine. The intended audience is health educators in different settings, working with a variety of groups. Fictional characters to be discussed include The Marlboro Man, Joe Camel, Vince and Larry, and Popeye. Knowledge of these characters, along with others to be featured, is relevant because of their potential influence on health attitudes and behaviors. |
