Fitness and Literacy: Movement Education for the Elementary Child |
Fitness and literacy are united in Movement Education Framework (MEF). Teachers of PK – 6 children learn to combine fitness and literacy in this experiential session. Objectives of this presentation: (1) Demonstrate how MEF approach can foster fitness and physical activity while children acquire movement language; (2) Introduce MEF components that encourage children to develop a conceptual base regarding movement; (3) Demonstrate pocket charts/pocket chart cards and poster sets designed specifically for use in physical education |
