Teen Dating: Prevention of Abusive Relationships |
Teenage dating violence is very prevalent today. One in three high school students will experience violence in their dating relationships. This session will help teachers discuss with their students: healthy vs. unhealthy dating behaviors; recognition and avoidance of abusive relationships; why victims stay; where to go for help and other related topics. Participants will practice several cooperative learning methods that promote student-centered instruction and reflection. Student PowerPoint presentations and videos will be shared. |
