It's a Balancing Act! |
Balance training improves balance, postural stability, and gait while reducing the risk and fear of falls. By challenging the sensory-motor systems, balance exercises can help maintain standing and postural stability under a variety of conditions. Because of the close relationship between core stability and good balance and posture, it makes sense to also include core training with older adults.
