Physical Education by the Numbers: A Standards-Based Approach |
This hands-on session has been designed to help schools and school districts implement a standards-based K-12 physical education program using research-based strategies and practices. Participants will receive detailed handouts for implementing PE "Power Standards" aligned to State Standards, associated assessment rubrics, participate in numerous "active learning" games and activities, and see how schools across the United States have successfully implemented curriculum alignment, standards-based grading, PE PLCs (Professional Learning Communities), and other cutting edge teaching strategies. |
