China needs to provide quality physical education programs to its 200 million school-aged children in 540,000 schools. Professionals with government officials have been working diligently to meet that challenge. This presentation will discuss (a) government structure, laws and regulations, (b) current status of physical education, (c) current status of Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE), and (d) challenges and possible strategies. |
