Snowshoeing: Curing Winter Inactivity - Snow or No Snow |
Snowshoeing offers an easy way to learn winter outdoor activity that requires minimal equipment and can be taught on grass or snow to all age groups. This session explains basic snowshoe components, how to determine proper fit, how a NASPE standards-based snowshoe curriculum can be adapted for use in schools or recreation programs, physical benefits of snowshoeing, equipment storage and distribution, and snowshoe games. The session is for recreation and physical education professionals. |
