Fitness for Most of Us: At Home on a Shoestring |
Physical educators who teach traditional weight room units may be surprised that only 15% of Americans belong to fitness centers. Therefore, physical educators must provide students with easy, cost-effective, and time-sensitive solutions for achieving optimal levels of health-related fitness at home. Participants will engage in several exercises using homemade equipment or no equipment that can be taught anywhere--a classroom, gym, or hallway. Group work and a Web site will supplement session materials. |
