Telling the Story: Evaluating a Youth Sports Program |
Youth sports programs have increasingly been asked to demonstrate their multidimensional impact on participants. While engaging children in physical activity is an obvious and important endeavor, it is often not enough to satisfy external funders who also wish to promote critical lifeskills, civic engagement, and academic success. Using Project Coach, an urban sports leadership program, this session will illustrate how simple qualitative and quantitative methods can be used to assess program effectiveness. |
