Breaking Body Image and Eating Disorder Stereotypes: Educate Diverse Groups |
This program strives to break stereotypes about the “typical” eating disorder profile. Body image disturbances and eating disorders will be discussed across social categories to illuminate unique needs of diverse groups. Specifically body image issues related to age, gender, race, religion, and sexuality will be covered so that health professionals can have a better understanding of how to prevent eating disorders across diverse groups. |
