Focusing on Sexuality Education
This session will feature two presentations. The first presentation will examine a system of ethics that can be used by instructors to decide ethical issues in sexuality education. Discussion will include ethical dilemmas, ethical principles, values, and instructor backgrounds that impact on making ethical decisions in conducting sexuality education. The second presentation will allow professionals a glimpse into the reality of youth culture. Participants will be able to ask questions about how to make their lesson plans more teen-friendly, encourage parent-child communication, utilize inclusive language, understand a youth perspective about sex education and practice answering questions with teens.
