The ongoing national debate over teacher education has recently escalated with high profile reports by authors like Aurthur Levine, and other calls for reform by prominent teacher education policy groups,such as the National Commission on Teaching and America's Future. Some of this debate is now being framed within a broader call for accountability in all areas of higher education. This presentation will cover the latest points and counter-points regarding teacher education, with some implications for teacher education in physical education. |
