Title IX Revisited: A Non-binding Discussion of Non-binding Issues Relevant to Implementation |
The tenents of Title IX and it's effect on opportunities boys and girls in physical education, recreation and interscholastic sports are important for teachers, coaches and administrators to properly implement. Any movement to curtail programs, which may include denial of sex differences (a violation of Title IX directives) and issues dealing with proportionality (finding workable solutions to grow opportunities without experiencing a negative growth for boys) is counter- productive to educational values.
The panel will focus on causative factors of negativity in Title IX which can lead to a misunderstanding of the issues and offer solutions to correct same. |
