History, Philosophy and Sociology: Appreciating Past, Present and Future Contributions to AAHPERD
In this joint session, the Academies for the History of Sport and Physical Education, Sport Philosophy and Sport Sociology will describe and discuss the value of history, philosophy and sociology in the study of sport and physical education, and also explore the significance of these Academies within AAHPERD’s history. This session will illustrate the intersections among the three subdisciplines, but will also demonstrate the unique contributions of each area to the broader profession that AAHPERD represents.
