Resilience: Building Positive Body Image in Female Athletes
This interactive workshop will demonstrate how to incorporate the resiliency theory into practice in order to prevent negative body image in female athletes. The focus will be on recognizing and using inner, personal drives as a long-term protective factor against the development of negative body image. Participants will be informed of the key components of the resiliency theory and examples of activities that can be used to build positive body image will be provided. Participants will discover a way to create and apply a fun, interactive, multi-session program to prevent negative body image in female athletes.
