HealthNets: A Public-Private Partnership for Professional Development
Health educators are challenged to stay abreast of the rapid developments in health information. While some school districts and community agencies provide professional development, others do not, leaving students and clients short-changed. HealthNets responds to this challenge. It facilitates networking among practitioners, health education faculty and graduate students to offer a sustainable model of professional development. Attendees will discuss the benefits of collaboration for professional development and where health educators seek professional development opportunities. The how-to of establishing a successful network will be presented. This session is beneficial to health educators, administrators, university faculty and anyone interested in effective partnerships.
