| Diversity is the Responsibility of Everyone: Creating a Safe and Positive Atmosphere |
| As educators in the 21st century, there is a growing need to develop a safe environment regarding LGBTQ issues and acceptance. Creating such environments can be challenging for teachers who may not have had adequate training in promoting respect for differences and appreciation of diversity in the classroom. In this session, a panel of physical educators will discuss the successful strategies they used to institute change. An opportunity to discuss issues and strategies will occur. Participants will be provided with a variety of resources to assist with making changes at their institutions. |
