Making Teacher Work Samples Work for You |
Teacher work samples are increasingly becoming the summative assessment item of choice in teacher education programs. Work samples are a comprehensive project allowing preservice teachers the opportunity to holistically design and analyze the teaching/learning environment. Additionally, they are the single assessment item with the potential to address the majority of NCATE assessment requirements. This session is designed to provide: an overview of work samples and component parts, actual examples of work samples, the progressional aspects of work sample development with students, a discussion of work sample highlights and pitfalls, and what we have learned from the work sample process. |
