What Makes You Tick?: Understanding the Connection Between Personality & Performance
The purpose of this session, intended for pre-service and in-service teachers and coaches will focus on the connection between the strengths of an individual’s personality and their teaching and/or coaching performance. Research findings from recent studies conducted with “top performing” teachers, coaches, athletes, and students will be shared. A personality profile survey (PDP ProScan) will be administered at the beginning of the session to participants wishing to gain further insight into their particular personality strengths. Individual results will be immediately generated and available to each participant. Implications for use in improving teaching and enhancing coaching will be discussed.
