Expand Your Teaching Repertoire: The Nuances and Discoveries of Teaching Dance Within Physical Education |
How do we reach beyond our current perspectives and expand our teaching repertoire? This session will feature an approach utilized to build self-esteem and confidence, as well as physical competence related to teaching multiple dance forms. Physical education teacher education candidates will share reflections about their personal journey of learning how to teach dance within the physical education curriculum. In addition, the “nuances and discoveries” in motivating physical educators to teach dance, will be conveyed through the presentation of an effective sequence of dance experiences and instructional strategies.
