Multifaceted Approaches Using the American College Health Association-National College Health Assessment Database in the College Health Education Classroom and in Curricular Development |
The American College Health Association developed the National College Health Assessment study and began gathering data in 2000. Many colleges/universities have participated in this comprehensive survey. Uses for this data bank include: (1) to an academic department that is trying to promote a graduation required Health Education course; (2) faculty can use their campus data to help structure their courses; and (3) for comparison purposes with the students who or have not participated in the survey, and then to the national data. This AAHE session will offer ideas for exploration of its application and usage within the health education curriculum. |
