Fundraising for Recreation Programs During Periods of Economic Constraints
Attendees who are responsible for not-for-profit recreation programs are continually challenged to seek creative and innovative ways to obtain financial resources to support their programs. This session will provide a case study and it will outline steps that have been taken by the federally funded National Youth Sports Program to obtain funding, maintain funding and increase funding to support the summer program. Attendees will learn about lobbying efforts, grant opportunities, foundation opportunities, trusts, private donations, public support, etc. A definite must-attend session in the climate of shrinking resources!
