Strategies for the Development of School-Based Obesity Prevention Programs |
This workshop will provide educators and researchers with tips and information regarding the development of obesity prevention programs in public school districts. Attendees will be provided with evidence-based practices of previous obesity prevention programs and will learn strategies for developing and implementing new programs. Recommendations for identifying and collaborating with key professionals in school districts and the community will be provided. Potential private and governmental funding opportunities for obesity prevention programs will be identified. Sample work plans, organizational charts and budgetary components from previous grant applications will also be provided. |
