Getting Past the Plumbing -- Sex Education Strategies for What is Really Important |
Sex education is serious business that must engage the learner, help the adolescent see how the material applies to their lives, and cause them to see the value in using the information for positive behavior change. The strategies presented in this session focus on risk reduction, behavior change that will keep the learner wondering what is going to happen next. Movement, student centered learning and application to all learning styles are modeled in this session. Participants will leave with hands on, original, unique and usable materials that have been developed and tested with great success in the secondary classroom. |
