A Rock and a Hard Place: Providing Compelling Evidence to Invest Upfront for Worksite Wellness |
This presentation is a case study of a large hospital in the southeastern United States who initially bulked at investing in a program for its 3500 employyes. The objectives will highlight action steps taken to convince the hospitals wellness team to reassess the power of their role and their charge from the CEO to “get a wellness program going.” Framing the discussion will be the Wellness Councils of America’s (WELCOA’s) 7C’s: Capturing on Senior-Level Support; Creating Cohesive Wellness Teams; Collecting Data to Drive Health Efforts; Crafting an Operating Plan; Choosing Appropriate Interventions; Creating a Supportive Environment; and Consistently Evaluating Outcomes. |
