University and Schools Partnerships That Are Truly A Win/Win |
This session will address the do’s and don’ts of creating effective school and university teacher preparation partnerships. A university professor, public school physical education teacher, and school principal will discuss the creation of this professional development school model. Research will be presented that has investigated the effectiveness of this program for all parties involved (university faculty, PE teachers, administrators, and most importantly the children). The purpose of this session is to present a model that has been extremely effective at promoting professional and personal growth for all, and to stimulate thought and discussion related to this topic. |
