Health Literacy: Scope and Consequence
This presentation will discuss the scope and consequence of health literacy as well as provide helpful tools for developing educational materials. Literacy matters in healthcare, potentially life-threatening or harmful mistakes can happen when patients cannot read or understand the information provided. Strategies for making improvements to lower the literacy level of health communications will be discussed.
