At the Front Lines: Navy Morale, Welfare, and Recreation
The long hours in hazardous and stressful environments for sailors and military members needs to be offset with ways for them to combat stress, stay mission-ready and physically fit. At the front lines, civilians are employed to provide programs during military time off which helps combat boredom, maintain physical readiness, and reduce stress. Hear first-hand experience of a recreation and fitness specialist from the deck of an aircraft carrier and learn about internship and employment opportunities unlike any other. This session will present the types of support provided as well as how to prepare and apply for this exciting opportunity.
