The Farmington (MI) Physical Education Curriculum Revision-Part 2 |
This hands-on workshop presentation describes the process by which a large public school district has revised its elementary physical education curriculum to use developmental sequences and developmental task analysis to both assess and promote motor skill development within authentic games contexts. During this session, participants will learn and use exemplar developmental sequence assessment rubrics through digital video as well as create developmentally appropriate and authentic task and game progressions.
The Lolas E. Halverson Award will be presented during the later part of this session, and the 2006 award recipient will give a special presentation on his work in motor development. |
