Collecting and Using Fitness Data to Improve Your Physical Education Programs
District leaders, department heads, and teachers will learn how fitness data can be collected and used to improve and advocate for their 4-12 physical education programs and meet NASPE Standard 4. Successful strategies for collecting and reporting data will be demonstrated utilizing FITNESSGRAM, excel spreadsheets, and school designed improvement ideas based on age, gender, grade, school, and district percentages. Program models that are evidence based and have been used to motivate teachers and students to improve performance will be shared. Actual examples of school successes demonstrating dramatic improvement that can easily be used by all school systems will be presented.
