ADs Take the Lead with Three P’s and a Watchdog!
Sport is a VALUABLE institution in our schools. To be VIABLE, athletic programs must insure an appropriate environment for its participants. Because sport programs are so VISIBLE, athletic directors must consider issues that negatively impact the sport experience. This session offers a mini-workshop regarding sexploitation in sport. Through presentation and small group discussion, attendees examine how to curb sexploitation with three P’s: philosophy, policy, and programs. In addition, guidelines are offered to assist ADs in reducing potential sexploitation in sport. The watchdog is a committee approach to keeping an eye out for problems that may arise in sport.
