Water Exercise as a Springboard to Swimming Skill Development
This session is intended for all levels of swimming instructors, elementary to senior citizens. It is particularly relevant to physical education teachers who have many different skill levels represented within one group or class. Participants will learn how vertical exercise in the water can be used as the transition to horizontal swimming for all ages and skill levels. They will also be given progressions with and without equipment with which to design “learn to swim” lesson plans with water exercise games, skills and activities.
