Creating Functional Assessments to Assist Teachers in Developing Physically Educated Students
Have you ever struggled with selecting assessments that are directly linked to your lesson objectives? This session will provide practitioners with the tools to create assessments to meet the needs of their students. Test development, usability, and interpretation will be presented. For test development and usability, an emphasis will be placed on ensuring appropriate validity and reliability evidence. For interpretation, the importance of accountability and linking assessments to program evaluation will be highlighted. Examples will be shared to illustrate the steps in creating functional assessments, which allow for greater ease in program evaluation.
