Adapted Aquatics Instructor Credential - Day 1 |

This 22-hour workshop provides already certified aquatic instructors with the skills, knowledge, and attitudes to safely and effectively implement quality adapted aquatics programs to individuals with disabilities in a variety of settings.
Prerequisites:
•Age 18 +
•Current CPR certification (Adult, Child and Infant included)
•Current first aid certification
•Current instructor certificate in instructional swim from a national agency (e.g. WSI, YMCA Instructor)
•Some experience in working with persons with disabilities in the water
•Strength sufficient to assist persons with disabilities
•Current AED certification
Participant must be pre-approved through AAPAR to register for the course. |
