Developing K-12 HIV/AIDS and Sex Education Programs |
Health Educators find themselves caught in the dilemma of following their school district’s local sex education guidelines and complying with state mandated laws, which require certain components of HIV/AIDS and Sex Education. We will focus on how to bridge the gap between state law and student needs pertaining to these complex subjects. You will learn and discuss how to involve parents, students, and your community in setting up valid sex education guidelines that meet your state’s criteria. This exciting session will insure that your sex education program is following the rules, reaching your students, and holding their interest. |
