COPEC Day: Repetition and Variety -- The Keys to Learning Movement Skills
Skill competence and movement success enhance the desire and motivation to be active. As our youngest movers development the fundamental movement skills and gain an understanding of the movement concepts, they begin their path to a healthy, active lifestyle. This session is meant to review current best practices, linking motor development/motor learning to elementary physical education. Participants will leave with some creative, unique ideas to help them organize lessons that foster repetition of the fundamental movement skills, while adding variety with the movement concepts.
