Get Healthy Now: a Campus Health Management Program
The University of Louisville Health Management Program, Get Healthy Now, evolved out of a need to control the spiraling cost of healthcare. The rising cost of health insurance is a nation-wide crisis and UofL has taken several measures to control its healthcare costs. First, a consolidation and self-funding process resulted in an employee savings of approximately $1.8 million and avoided a projected $1.9 million increase. The following year, the Campus Health Initiative helped employees decrease their utilization of the health benefit package. This session will discuss the data and innovative efforts of our worksite health promotion program.
