Community Building and Character Education in the Gym |
This session will give attendees some activities and ideas on how to foster social and emotional connections in the Physical Education classroom. Developing positive social behaviors in a competitive/cooperative setting will provide instructors with powerful class management tools and help instructors meet NASPE standards that emphasize personal and social behavior, respect for differences, and understanding the opportunities for enjoyment, self expression and social interaction inherent in physical activity. Using the activities presented in this session, students will look forward to coming to physical education class even more than they do now. |
