Partners in Prevention: Bridging the Gap from SAP to EAP
Many secondary schools have Student Assistance Programs, and industry/business has Employee Assistance Programs to identify and refer to help those who might be struggling with alcohol/drug issues that impede success. At the university level, there are few programs with this mission. West Chester University of Pennsylvania has developed a program called Partners in Prevention to do just that. To date, eighty faculty and one hundred fifty students leaders have been trained. This session will provide attendees with the framework to establish such a program, and share the data gathered by the WCU program in its three years of operation.
