MASSPEC Day - Piloting a Kayaking Program in an Urban Environment |
This program will focus on developing a kayaking program as a component of a high school physical education curriculum and is geared toward teachers who have little or no experience in the sport. By attending this program high school physical educators and administrators will gain a better understanding of the components that go into such a program, the facilities and equipment required, and assessment techniques that used to evaluate the effectiveness of the program. This presentation will also focus on kayaking as a lifetime activity that students will be able to participate in for years after leaving high school. |
