Risky Business: Minimizing the Risks Inherent in Physical Activity and Sport Settings
Co-sponsor: Council on Facilities & Equipment The risks inherent in physical activity and sport settings have always been prevalent. However, the recent rise in sport-related litigation has prompted the necessity of educating and preparing sport practitioners to effectively deal with these risks. This workshop will expose sport practitioners to effective ways in which to minimize and eliminate the risks that exist in their respective settings. An emphasis will be placed on the development and implementation of a risk management plan. This interactive session will promote dialogue between colleagues regarding the risks they assume on a daily basis.
