MASSPEC Day: Using the Ipod and MP3 for Lectures and the GPS and HR Monitor as Activity Verification Tools in a Physical Education Class
Designed for all physical educators interested in integrating technology into physical education classes, this session will explain and demonstrate the use of IPODs, MP3s, GPS units, and HR Monitors in teaching physical education. Examples of how these devices are used in teaching a physical education activity class will be presented. Lecture presentations using the IPOD and MP3, and participation verification using the GPS and HR Monitor will be covered. The organization, administration, verification and implementation processes will be reviewed.
