| Physical Education Teacher Education Awards Presentation |
| The 2005 recipients of the COPPPE Physical Education Teacher Education Awards will present an overview of their unique contributions to the field that have had a lasting effect on PETE. Steve Mitchell, Judith Oslin, and Linda Griffin will present information on the tactical games approach related to Teaching Games for Understanding (TGFU). Michael W. Metzler will discuss model-based instruction and give an overview of his book which discusses seven core teaching models and helps teachers determine the most effective model for producing desired educational outcomes. |
