Outside the Lines: Liability Concerns in Sport |
This session will address two liability concerns: Safe Transportation and the Athlete's Right of Privacy.
Safe Transportation: Guidelines from A to Z – Vehicle accidents during team travel continue to be an issue for athletic department/physical education administrators, coaches, and teachers at all levels. Areas to be addressed are student drivers, modes of transportation, driver qualifications, supervision, weather, distance, hierarchy of risk, and number of passengers.
The Athlete's Right of Privacy: How Safe Are They? – This portion of the presentation will identify individual and organizational risks, as well as risk management suggestions, when circumstances involve disregarding an individual’s right to privacy. |
