Infusing Diversity into the PETE Curriculum: Effective Practices for Faculty and Students |
Are PETE programs preparing "effective" physical education majors who can teach ALL students in ALL settings? The purpose of this presentation is to share effective diversity practices that are relevant to PETE programs. Two speakers will discuss issues concerning infusion of diversity content and training within the PETE curriculum, teacher candidate placement, and attainment of the NASPE/NCATE diversity standard. The effects of a diverse PETE program on both faculty and students will also be shared. |
