Social Responsibility + Diversity = Our Global Future |
This session will focus on NASPE Standard #5. Participants will experience the work of Don Hellison in the area of social responsibility and physical activity and participate in a variety of multicultural activities presented by Richard V. McGehee and Carol S. Conkell and colleagues. Participants will be guided through activities that promote three basic personal and social behavior goals: the learning of self-responsibility, social responsibility and respect for others, and group responsibility for teamwork. McGehee and Conkell will teach a variety of multicultural activities/sports that increase participant’s appreciation of diverse cultures. |
