Integrating Movement and Language Arts (Pre-K Through Upper Elementary) |
Activities that integrate movement with reading, writing and creative expression will be presented. This three part session will include:
1) audience participation in guided rhythmical activities and the use of movement concepts and movement skill themes with the use of children's books; 2)games that allow students to practice letters, sounds and sight words; and 3)how writing can be used to demonstrate understanding of movement concepts, principles, strategies, and tactics as they apply to the learning and performance of physical activities. |
